The Sabres returned to HSBC Arena for the second (and last) time this month and beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1. Tim Connolly had his best game since coming back from injury, scoring two goals and helping secure the Sabres' second consecutive victory.

The NHL announced the ballots for fan voting for the All-Star game yesterday. Sabres players chosen included Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek, Derek Roy, and Teppo Numminen.
Sabres vs Lightning

There will be no SabreCast for this game. Matt and I picked a winner and watched this one down at HSBC Arena. Unfortunately, we just ran out of time to put together a podcast tonight, but we'll be returning on Saturday night after the game against Washington.
Sabres Perfect After Four

The Buffalo Sabres have had a perfect start to the season, going 4-0 in their first four games. Not only have the Sabres had success, but they have looked the part as well. The Sabres have been very good offensively, defensively, and in goal.

It was reported today that Lindy Ruff has named newcomer Craig Rivet as the Captain of the Buffalo Sabres for the entire 2008-09 season.

In our second episode of SabreCast, Matt and I went for a new tactic: professionalism. The first podcast was a rather rushed affair. We really wanted to get one done to see how hard it would be. We also wanted to get the podcast listed at iTunes and everywhere else and have a few episodes done before the season started. SabreCast #2 should sound a lot better, but I think we should be able to continue to improve it with every episode.
