SabreCast 2.23 – Looking Forward

The Sabres may finally be breaking the slump, albeit rather slowly. The Sabres went 1-1-1 this week and are starting to shows signs of life again. In this episode, we look forward to the remaining schedule and beyond to the playoffs.

It has been a long off season, but the Sabres are back in training camp and nearly ready to start the regular season. In this episode we talk about off season acquisitions, re-signings, and losses; training camp; and preseason games. Our main discussion is two parts: A) the Sabres roster and B) how the Sabres will do this season. We also have a little fun with some Sabres and Stanley Cup predictions.

In this episode we discuss the Sabres’s 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Sabres had gone 2-8 in their last 10 games and were desperate for the win to get them out of the slump. For the first time in a long while, Sabres fans were treated to an exciting game with a decent number of goals and fights.

In SabreCast #24, we cover Friday’s 3-0 loss to the Philadephia Flyers and Saturday’s 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders. The Sabres played well against both opponents, but still blew two back to back home games. We discuss the games and attempt to figure out what is wrong with the Sabres.
