The Sabres closed out the last week of the season going 3-0 versus Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, and Columbus. With the win over Philadelphia, they clinched the 7th place seed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Ironically, the game was also a preview of the upcoming playoff matchup.

The Sabres have clinched a playoff spot with their win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. After a two season drought, the Sabres will again have a shot at the Stanley Cup and Matt and I couldn't be more excited!

Luckily, none of those four things are going to happen, and with the team sitting near the top of the Eastern Conference, winning nearly 3 of every 4 games, there is nothing wrong with expecting them to come out of the road trip with similar results. Ruff said earlier today that a 'successful' road trip would be nine or ten points, a number exceeding my preliminary hopes for seven or eight, simply going .500 for the next two weeks.

Sorry for the delay, but due to the holiday and some technical difficulties, we had to cover the last three Sabres game in this podcast. Those games included a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh, a 3-2 loss at Montreal, and a 2-0 loss to Nashville.

The Buffalo Sabres recorded their second consecutive shutout versus the New Jersey Devils. Ryan Miller started in net again and turned away all 24 shots faced.

The Buffalo Sabres have had a perfect start to the season, going 4-0 in their first four games. Not only have the Sabres had success, but they have looked the part as well. The Sabres have been very good offensively, defensively, and in goal.

The Buffalo Sabres advance their unbeaten streak to four games to start off the season. The Sabres came away with a 5-2 win at home versus the Vancouver Canucks. Vanek scored his sixth of the season; Kotalik scored two; and MacArthur and Spacek netted one apiece.

The Buffalo Sabres’ third game of the season took place earlier tonight at 7:00 pm against the New York Rangers. The Sabres won 3 - 1 in a tight game with excellent special teams.
