We took a little time off during the holiday season, but now we are back and better than ever. Hope you guys had a great holiday and that you can forgive the Sabres for their mediocre play.

The Sabres lost another home game to the Washington Capitals last night. The Sabres lost 4-2 with their two goals coming from Mair and MacArthur in the third period.

Game Summary

  • The Sabres got down early, allowing the Capitals to score on the first Power Play of the game.
  • The Sabres didn’t really get their feet moving until the third period when Mair (5) and MacArthur (11) scored.
  • Hard-checking Sabres forwards like Gaustad, Mair, Ellis, and Kotalik saw a lot of time in the third period.
  • Lindy Ruff indicated in his post-game conference that only hard-workers will be rewarded with ice time.
