Game Synopsis
- The Sabres played another wide open home game, terrorizing Manny Legace and St Louis’ defensemen.
- The Sabres scored three goals in 2:32 in the first period causing Manny Legace to be pulled. Chris Mason came in and played a solid game.
- Peters was a busy man and got into two separate fights in the first period.
- Goals were scored by Mair (3), Connolly (2), Pominville (5), and Tallinder (1).
- The Sabres had way too many scoring chances to only have four goals. Vanek had a breakaway where he almost scored. The chance was reviewed and rejected.
- The Sabres scratched Stafford and Kaleta.
